March 18th 1991 was a humid day, as was any day in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Andrew Connolly, a real estate agent, had been in the middle of walking a couple through an appraisal of a brand new property two hours from his home when his cell phone went off suddenly with the news: his wife Elizabeth had been taken to the hospital from her daughter's elementary school when her water had broke during a conference. Little Corrinne Connolly remained at school for the rest of the day while her father and mother spent those few remaining school hours at the hospital. It wouldn't be until later in that week that the couple brought home Aislinn Carter Connolly, otherwise known as 'the new baby' around the house to Corrinne. Elizabeth realized now that with two children it would be difficult for her to focus on much else. Southern ideals and her strict upbringing had already fallen down harshly on her when she gave birth to Corrinne without being married, and her mother had already told her to embrace the housewife mentality, as it would be a life she would have to lead in the next coming years. It wasn't what she wanted, but she got over that small fact after spending time with her children. Her daughter was as bossy and demanding as she herself could be at times, and her son was beautiful and young, and needed his mother in his life to show him a little tenderness.

However, Aislinn was not the last of the Connolly children. After writing many heated letters to his parents about needing someone to play with, his mother tried to carefully explain that there was going to be a new baby around the house. Unfortunately for him, it was yet another girl. A year younger than him, Cillian joined the family and marked the end of Elizabeth's child bearing phase. As a toddler, Aislinn got into a lot of trouble. He liked to remove his diapers and pee on the floor, he got great joy out of throwing things and giving his mother messes to clean up after. It was something that he wouldn't grow out of for quite a while. In order to attempt to rein the young child in, Elizabeth tried to get Aislinn into extra curricular activities at a young age.
